MFAV Citizen's Award Banquet (02/03/05)

On Friday, February 3rd, the Minister's Fellowship of Albuquerque & Vicinity will feature its annual Citizen's Award Banquet at the Hyatt Regency Albuquerque, 330 Tijeras NW. The service volunteers render is the lifeblood of effective ministry. Because they contribute so much to the advancement of God's kingdom, we annually pause to celebrate their contributions as the bible compels us to "give honor where honor is due." We invite each pastor to participate.

MFAV CHAMPIONS AGAINST HOSTILE CLIMATE AT UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO (11/22/11)

Community leaders have announced plans to ameliorate the racially hostile climate at the University of New Mexico (Albuquerque campus). The Minister's Fellowship of Albuquerque and Vicinity (MFAV), a 70-year old organization of pastors dedicated to providing religious and community service, have joined with the local NAACP branch to highlight proven injustices against African American UNM employees.

Complaints against UNM include documented cases of the following:

• Hostile Climate for African Americans;
• Compensation Disparities;
• Adverse impact of policies upon African Americans that reduce the number of role models, reduce quality of healthcare, and reduce the same service delivery; and
• Inequitable distribution of federal funding for minority healthcare research.
